Handcrafted with Love. Empowering with Purpose.
Fabrica Cottage was started with a heartfelt mission — to modernize traditional handicrafts while creating a sustainable livelihood for underprivileged women. What began with just a few hands has become a growing family of artisans.
We preserve the legacy of handcrafted techniques while designing products that blend culture with modern aesthetics.
To empower women through skill-building, fair employment, and financial independence, while celebrating Indian craftsmanship.
Hi, I am Sushmita Chakraborty, founder of Fabrica Cottage. I graduated in 2007 as a Textile Designer and began my career as a Master Trainer in textiles for M.S.M.E. During that tenure, my urge to become an entrepreneur began growing. From there, my dream project — Fabrica Cottage — was born.
We focus on modernizing traditional handicrafts and utilizing themes like hand embroidery. My motivating factor behind all this is to empower underprivileged women by training and employing them, making them financially independent.
We started our journey with just a few women, and our team has grown steadily. To conclude, we will always maintain the legacy of hand-woven styles — the foundation of our lifestyle products — and continue uplifting more women who, I believe, are the future of our society.
